As I watched the full George Floyd video I was overwhelmed with grief, sickened and couldn’t rest. I’m distraught at the lack of compassion I saw for a human life. It was pure evil and horrific.
It takes courage and strength to love in a time of divisiveness. God looks down from heaven on all mankind and sees the evil and corruption in every nation. “God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.” —Psalm 53:3
This must stop!
The signs of the times are all around us. We are in the end times. Jesus expects us to discern the signs of the times and act appropriately.
Racism is a stronghold. It’s ugly, evil and sin. Racism hurts! It degrades and downplays the beautiful soul. We are all affected, whether directly or indirectly, by racism. It can cause you to become angry and bitter inside. Yet, bitterness, anger and strife will never change things. They only serve to exacerbate the problem.
When you see racism with spiritual eyes in light of God’s love, you see Satan’s plan to thwart God’s eternal plan of redemption. Don’t let wounds sustained in previous battles blind you to the truth of God’s love for humanity.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. It’s against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.—Eph. 6:12
“the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” —2 Cor. 10:4
