“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” Romans 12:9 ESV
I’ve been concerned and wondering why the church seems powerless to effectively take part in God’s Endtime plan of redemption. So, I’ve been reading about past revivals and Christian ministers who I believe had authentic, effective ministry for the Kingdom of God their in their sphere of influence. One such minister is Aiden Wilson Tozer (April 21, 1897 – May 12, 1963).
A. W. Tozer was unique and had a shepherd’s heart. His induction into ministry reminds me so much of my own. When interviewed for ordination the elders felt that he was not ready to be ordained because he never went to high school nor attended Bible college or seminary. He had no formal training in religion. After someone spoke up on his behalf the elders decided to give him a try. Tozer became one of the leading voices in his generation.
No doubt, Tozer did not fit the ministry template of his day. I am sure he would not fit today’s template, either. The prophet God uses is uniquely called of God. He never volunteers for the job. It was not man’s approval that made him the prophet of his day. It was God’s call—His choosing of a man who was willing to be used of Him.
“God chooses a man or a woman who is out of sync with his or her generation. God uses a person, not because he or she fits in, but usually because he or she does not fit in. ”
James. L. Snyder, A. W. Tozer, Voice of a Prophet Who Speaks for God
My own personal experience did not involve attending Bible college nor seminary. My first thought when I was called to ministry was to do so, but God had different plans for training and preparing me for prophetic ministry. Years later God directed me to the Women In Ministry Network. I was ordained by the Network in 2017 after serving 25 years in various ministry capacities as an ministry and church administrator, teaching minister, and lead of one church’s women’s ministry. I grateful for those opportunities for hands on ministry.
God has always provided me with the necessary training from many of the leading ministry voices today. Tozer’s books have been a valuable resource for me. In his “The Prayer of a Minor Prophet.” Tozer said:
GIVE ME VISION TO SEE AND COURAGE TO REPORT WHAT I SEE FAITHFULLY. MAKE MY VOICE SO LIKE THINE OWN THAT EVEN THE SICK SHEEP WILL RECOGNIZE IT AND FOLLOW THEE.

We are called to be “ambassadors …. on behalf of Christ! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
An ambassador is an official envoy sent on behalf of their country. An authorized representative or messenger. Apostle Paul said to the church of Corinth, “Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too.”
I hope that you know I’m sincere in my in sharing what I sense the Lord is saying to this generation. My endeavor is to equip you, and see the Body of Christ mature in faith and obedience so that we can fulfill Ephesians 4 which says, “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” –Eph. 4:13
We each have an assignment to complete. We are “one body and one spirit,…called into the same glorious hope of divine destiny. For the Lord God is one, and so are we, for we share in one faith, one baptism, and one Father. And He is the perfect Father who leads us all, works through us all, and lives in us all!” Eph. 4:4-6 TPT
Revelation 7:9 says there will be a great multitude from every nation in Heaven. “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,”
So let’s embark on this journey together as we explore what it means to be an “Authentic Christian” in a world that has run amok, and believe God that we can be instrumental in ushering in one of the greatest revivals ever witnessed before. The world is waiting on you!
Mercy, peace and love be your in abundance!
