It Will Be Worth It!

”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” —Joshua 1:9

I was going through some of the prophetic words the Lord used to encourage me along this journey of faith. Many of them were to encourage me to persevere and overcome the challenges I would face along this path.  He never, ever said it would be easy.  But always instructed me to be strong and courageous, and that He would be with me wherever I go.  —Joshua 1:9

In the process, you will be tried by fire, but remain steadfast and unmovable. God never said this life would be easy. He only said that a life lived for Him would be worth the battle. Every battle worth fighting is challenging. It wasn’t easy for Jesus to die for the sins of the world. —1 John 2:2

The path that God chooses for you leads to your God given destiny.

I’ve been attacked by the enemy in ways that would break many. Hit so hard that I a wanted to give up. My faith has been challenged. My heart has been trampled on, betrayed, lied to and cheated on. What I learned is that I’m not fighting this battle for myself, but for my immediate and extended family, friends and those of you that God would send my way.

It would have been easy to give up: to leave ministry, church and family, but it is often taking the easy path that leads to destruction. I have felt the sting of the enemy, but with God at my side, I made it through and continue to make it through. Being carried by God through those fiery trials time and time again.

I remember the Lord saying to me: “Look beyond yourself for the strength to endure.” He said to me a long time ago, “I told you the path was narrow, I did not promise an easy walk, but I promised you strength to come through. I promised My presence will always be with you. I promised no harm would come to you.”

When you know that Satan wants you dead that is when you begin to know God as He truly is. He is the God who sees you:

  • ELOHIM. My Creator.
  • JEHOVAH. My Lord God.
  • EL SHADDAI. My Supplier.
  • ADONAI. My Master.
  • JEHOVAH JIREH. My Provider.
  • JEHOVAH ROPHE. My Healer.
  • JEHOVAH NISSI. My Banner.
  • JEHOVAH MAKADESH. My Sanctifier.

As I look back over how the Lord has guided and continues to guide I am more in Lord with Him today than ever before! God knows what’s best for you. God knows how to balance burdens and blessing, suffering and glory. I have not arrived. I continue to pressed toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus!

Hear what the Lord is saying. “My sheep know my voice, and the voice of a stranger they will NOT FOLLOW!”

As we walk in the light, because He is the Light, the glory of the Lord will rise upon His people.

Blessings,

Dr. A.
