“But there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets,…” (Daniel 2:28, 47)
When God calls you to take steps of faith He will use your small faith to bring forth something greater. He moves us from faith to faith, glory to glory (Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 3:18.)
In Matthew 17:20, our faith is likened to a mustard seed, small but spicy. What Jesus call ‘mustard seed’ faith. Jesus told a parable about a little mustard seed that was planted and became the greatest among all the garden plants. Just imagine one little seed bringing forth .. Now believe that the seeds of love, grace, hope and righteousness you sow today will bring forth…
The seeds of faith we sow today will bring us a harvest of greater faith for tomorrow. The Prophet Hosea encourages us to ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.’ (Hosea 10:12)
In these turbulent times, don’t be afraid to take your small steps of faith now, as insignificant as they might seem to you in the moment. Trust that God is able to make those small steps count for something considerable in the long term. Because He leads and guides us, our small beginning steps will lead to great discoveries. Our faith walk is a journey into securing our heavenly purpose.
The writer of Hebrews tells us that we cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6.) As we travel along this journey, our sacred pilgrimage must be the discovery of who God is, what He is like and what He does, and that requires faith.
Faith is the only way to operate successfully in the realm of the Spirit. The supernatural bridge between the now and the not yet. Hebrews 11:1 declares, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Faith is always in the now. At the present time or moment. Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. The the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. We need to speak in the now and receive in the now because this is the place where faith resides.
God wants to give us now faith, because He is a now God. He is:
- ELOHIM. My Creator.
- JEHOVAH. My Lord God.
- EL SHADDAI. My Supplier.
- ADONAI. My Master.
- JEHOVAH JIREH. My Provider.
- JEHOVAH ROPHE. My Healer.
- JEHOVAH NISSI. My Banner.
- JEHOVAH MAKADESH. My Sanctifier.
The One who was, who is, and who is to come is present among us right now. Faith receives the now of God, and in that now is the new.
Blessings and peace,
