So that Your people may rejoice in You?”
Many people are longing for a revival that will sweep across the nation and whole cities into the Kingdom of God. A revival that demonstrates the manifest presence of God that we all stand in awe and worship Him. The God of creation. Our Savior! A revival that will lead to transformation and reformation unlike anything we have ever seen before. I believe such a revival is soon coming!
Smith Wigglesworth’s 1947 prophecy is well known. Less known is a similar word, which speaks of a worldwide revival, particularly of healing, that he gave to evangelist Dr Lester Sumrall in 1939. As I was researching today I came across a transcript of this prophecy. I will share with you some of the highlights:
In Brother Wigglesworth prophesy to Lester Sumrall he spoke of seeing several previous revivals: healing revival, Charismatic Revival, and the Word of Faith movement. Then he prophesied, “After that, after the third wave,” he started sobbing. “I see the last day revival that’s going to usher in the precious fruit of the earth. It will be the greatest revival this world has ever seen! It’s going to be a wave of the gifts of the Spirit. The ministry gifts will be flowing on this planet earth. I see hospitals being emptied out, and they will bring the sick to the churches where they allow the Holy Ghost to move.”
I believe we are in that time in which the world will witness the greatest revival ever seen. Our Lord says in Matthew 24:24 (TLB), “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it, and then, finally, the end will come.” The time is short and Christ will be returning soon. It is my conviction that there must first come a genuine repentance for allowing the things of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life to neutralize the Word of God so that it has been of no effect in preaching the good news, making disciples and teaching people in reaching the lost as Christ commanded His disciples. (1 John 2:16).
Father God desires nothing more than to bring healing to our land. It is the desire of His heart. Healing and deliverance from the many afflictions, such as homelessness, racism, drug addiction, human trafficking, and immorality that permeates our society today. The prophet Isaiah said this about the coming Christ in Second Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Please pray for revival in our land. The moral and spiritual fabric that kept this country strong for so long has almost completely unraveled. We need another great awakening, a fresh revival that puts us on our knees, brings us to repentance for our sins, and turns our hearts back again to worship and obey God.
Pray for our leaders that we may live peaceful and quiet lives, that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus in the earth. “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 1-2).
Pray for revival in America!
Only righteousness can make America great. “Righteousness makes a nation great; sin is a disgrace to any nation” (Prov. 14:34 GNT).
I pray these messages will enable you to search your own heart, too, and see if anything there is offensive to God (Ps. 139:23-24).
Blessings,
Minister A. Francine Green
