Prophetic Perspective: Hebraic Year 5782

“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was revealed to us— what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete” (1 John 1:1-10).

God Is Light

Seeing and understanding the ways of God is crucial for every believer. As the church, we must seek together, by Holy Spirit’s enabling, to return to our covenant relationship with God. There are specific moments in the lives of God’s people when they have to make decisions in their relationships with God. A covenant people’s life depends on the quality of their relationship with God.

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us” (1 John 1-5).

We must have vision for what’s ahead or we will be unprepared during this transition that is taking place in the Spirit. God is doing an unbelievable work restoring His church to the power of the early Church in the New Testament. He says, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it” (Habakkuk 1:5). Habakkuk is one of my favorite books in the Old Testament. God spoke through the prophet at a time when it appeared that “justice never goes forth” (1:4). He is distressed at the fact that violence prevails and agonized by the thought that God tolerated evil. Many of you may be feeling this same way today.

God instructed Habakkuk to, “Write down the vision And inscribe it clearly on tablets, So that one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hurries toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay long” (Habakkuk 2:1-3). The Just, God’s righteous ones are to live by faith in difficult times (v.4). We are to run this race marked out for us with perseverance fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:1-2). “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Cor. 1:18).

God is Light and in Him their is no shadow of turning. He does not change. “God is light,” says 1 John 1:5, “and in him is no darkness at all.” “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,” declares James 1:17, “and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Over the past several years I have been writing about light, glory and the coming awakening. I sense as do many others, that there is an awakening and reformation coming to the church and world that will reveal God’s glory and bring in the last days harvest. John 3:16 speaks of God’s unfailing love for humanity and that He wishes none to perish. Sending His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world. The Bible tells us in Ephesians we are to “redeem the times for the days are evil.”

One of the distinctions of Hebrew thought is their view of time. God gave them a unique way of thinking that was foundational to walking according to His purposes. To the Hebrews, each month was given by God for a specific purpose. In Hebrew numbers have word meanings, picture meaning, and sound. The Hebrew number system has helped me as I focus each year. In the Hebraic year 5781 we have experienced drastically changing weather patterns, earthquakes, intense wildfires, racial tensions, Covid-19 pandemic, political division, an attack on our democracy, and an insurrection… As of today, Hurricane Ida has wreaked havoc on Louisiana with many living without power, the death toll is increasing, northeastern states are experiencing massive flooding due to Ida, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Haiti, and millions dying from Covid-19 and the new Delta variant. This should be a wake call! We are not to live in fear during these times, but to live by faith in the Son of God.

In part 2 and 3, I’ll share my thoughts on the Hebraic Year 5782,

It’s important to God that we align with His timing. At the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, “head of the year” or “first of the year,” the festival begins on the first day of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar, which falls during September or October.

Rosh Hashanah begins this year, Monday, September 6 and ends In the evening Wednesday, September 8. Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the two “High Holy Days” in the Jewish religion.

The best way to live victoriously in the midst of warfare is to think like God thinks — Hebraically — and consider the model He gave us in His Word …

Chuck Pierce, Time to Advance: Understanding the Significance of the Hebrew Tribes and Months

There has been a major shift in the atmosphere. We are presently witnessing a shaking unlike any other that was prophetically revealed in Hebrews 12:26-27, “And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” The words “once more” plainly show that the created things will be shaken and removed, so that the things that cannot be shaken will remain. The Church must hear God’s prophetic voice and come into alignment with His purposes and timing. The battles have intensified and understanding divine alignment and positioning in God’s Kingdom is critical.
