“And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 40:5
God is a God Who Speaks
There are many ways in which the Lord speaks. He speaks through His messengers, His World, a still small voice, and through the Holy Spirit. The Lord has been calling the church to come up higher. Calling us into alignment with His eternal purposes. For the past few years, I have been blogging and speaking on the necessity of the church to awaken from it’s slumber. Earlier this morning, I was listening to a message by Dr. Billye Brim “2020 through 2021 “Years of Transition.” She revealed that there is about to be a major transition in the year 2020 as God will be awakening His Church. Immediately, I heard the Spirit say, “The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
With so much chaos and calamity taking place, the church has been silent in speaking the truth in love, and sharing God’s heart on many crucial issues.

The church is in such disunity it is impossible to get any of the things God wants done for the building of Kingdom of God. Church growth has been in decline for a number of years. I believe this is because the church has not been adequately disciplining its members as commanded by Jesus in Mathew 28, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mathew 28:19-20
We’ve written books and articles about church growth, devised new church growth strategies, defined and taught members “what it means to be a church member”, yet we’ve failed to make disciples, teaching people how to obey the gospel as instructed by Christ. Nor have we emphasized what it means to be Kingdom citizens living in this earthly realm.
When God speaks, things begin to shift. We are coming into a new era in which the voice of the Lord will roar. Calling His Church to come up higher for the fulfillment of His eternal purposes.
“The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.” Joel 3:16
