Soul Wholeness

When Jesus saw the man at the pool of Bethesda He asked him, “Wilt thou be made whole?”

Having a healthy soul is crucial to living the life you were created to live.  Above all things we should prosper and be in good health, even as our soul continually prospers (3 John 2).

Christianity is not about becoming what you are not, it’s about becoming all that you were created to be in Christ. We are God’s masterpiece, fashioned by Him in His image and likeness.  God see’s who He created you to be long before it manifested in reality.  Your true identity! The real you! Holy and blameless in His sight.

God is in the process of chiseling away every area of your life that doesn’t reflect this truth through the Holy Spirit and the transforming power of grace. We’re discovering who we really are in Christ Jesus and learning to walk out our true nature in Him. When you began to understand who you are in Christ the Holy Spirit strips away everything that hinders you from being who you were created to be.

Each of us has had the world’s perspective and philosophies define us at one point and time.  It is time to let God’s thoughts define who you really are. As believers we must stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around us and be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how we think. This will empower us to discern God’s will as we live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes (Romans 12:2).

Our minds must be renewed to Kingdom truth. We must be mindful of the things we think or tell ourselves. What we think and tell ourselves matters. Self talk directs both our attitudes and our actions. Proverbs 23:7 we are who we think we are.  It is important that we see and say what God thinks about us.  His thoughts are not our thoughts. The way we see ourselves should match up with the truth of God’s Word.

It’s important to allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind so that you can live like a kingdom son or daughter.  Instead of telling yourself what’s wrong with your life, learn to see yourself as a son or daughter of God. Precious in His sight.

What you believe affects your emotions and behavior.  When you allow your thought life to be governed by lies, feelings, anxiety, hopelessness or fear you won’t live according to God’s perfect will. When your thought life is governed by the truth, you experience feelings of peace, joy, love and happiness knowing that you are a child of God.

You are the righteousness of God.  When God sees you, He see the perfect righteousness of His Son Jesus within and upon you.  You are no longer a slave to fear.  Christ in you…His presence becomes your refuge, your hiding place, that strong tower you run to. His presence becomes the place you are most comfortable and safe.

Blessings,
