“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28
In the midst of life’s challenges and disappointments we need to look up beyond our circumstances to the One from whom our help comes. God’s Word is filled with promises from our Creator to provide and deliver.
The Lord has promised His people many things. There are many examples in Scripture of how God made and fulfilled His promises to His people. Abraham, the children of Israel, David, Solomon, and Mary the mother of Jesus just to name a a few.
The Bible is the ultimate source for truth and God is faithful to fulfill all His promises. We need to search the Scriptures, and find promises that relate to our situation and start praying them, trusting God to bring them to pass in our lives.
As you read Bible verses about the promises of God, claim them over your life! He is faithful and just to keep every promise so “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise (Hebrews 10:23).
God wants to fulfill His promises in our lives.
Put God in remembrance of His Word. These promises are available specifically to us!
I was watching a Joel Osteen broadcast this morning. He encouraged everyone to take hold of and declare the promises of God by decreeing Lord you promised. Below are some of my favorite promises that you can decree:
– You will fight for me; I need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14)
– You will never leave me or abandon me. (Hebrews 13:5)
– You will give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. (Isaiah 49:29)
– When I pass through the waters, You will be with me; and when I pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over me. When I walk through the fire, I will not be burned; the flames will not set me ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2)
– When I ask for wisdom, You will give it generously to without finding fault. (James 1:5)
– Whatever I ask for in prayer, if I believe that I have received it, it will be mine. (Mark 11:24)
– No weapon forged against me will prevail. You will refute every tongue that accuses me. This is the heritage of Your servants, and this is my vindication from You. (Isaiah 54:17)
– Whatever I ask for in prayer, believing that I have received it, it will be mine.(Mark 11:24)
– I am surrounded with favor as a shield. I am favored in all I am and all I do. (Psalm 5:12)
– All my needs are met according to your riches and glory in Christ Jesus! (Philippians 4:19)
