The Power To Live A New Life

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4

God has placed within you the power to live a new life.  You have the same new life God gave Jesus when He raised Him from the dead abiding on the inside of you. If you are not manifesting the power of God in your life, you don’t need more of God, He wants and needs more of you!

You can experience the power of a new life in your everyday walk with the Lord. Romans 6:4 TPT says, “Sharing in his death by our baptism means that we were co-buried and entombed with him, so that when the Father’s glory raised Christ from the dead, we were also raised with him. We have been co-resurrected with him so that we could be empowered to walk in the freshness of new life.”

Just as Jesus was raised up from the dead by the Father’s glory, so are we empowered to walk in newness of life by the same glory.  We have been co-resurrected to a higher level whereby we can defeat anything the enemy would bring against us. We can live above the dominion of sin and death.

God has given us a new heart, and a new spirit taking away the stony heart of flesh and and replacing it with a living one. He has placed His Spirit within every believer so that we may walk according to His Word and carefully observe His standards (Eze. 36:26-27).

We are born again and filled with His Spirit. We are no longer held by the things of this natural world. The life we now live, we live by faith, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved us and gave himself for us (Gal. 2:20).

The Spirit of God lives in you!

The Holy Spirit dwells in every child of God (1 Cor.  3:16; 6:19). In Ephesians 5:18, Apostle Paul wrote: “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” This is not a one time filling, but a continual experience.

The indwelling Spirit is a source of life for the believer (Romans 8:1-11). The Holy Spirit takes up residence in the person who is born of the Spirit. Galatians 5:25 says, “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” Learning to walk by and keep in step with the Spirit requires your willingness to learn this new supernatural life-style, at whatever cost to your present way of living. It’s worth it!
