Living An Intentional Life: Destined For A Purpose

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21

When God gives you an assignment you are destined for a purpose greater than your natural mind can conceive. Since I’m writing about living an intentional life with purpose in mind, I wanted to share an excerpt from my first book, “Daughter of the King: Possessing Your Spiritual Inheritance” available on Amazon. I have been on this faith journey for 25 years. It’s been quite a journey. I’ve seen joy and experienced tremendous pain. There were times I was blinded by fear, challenged beyond what I was able to bear up under and ready to give up. But God has been faithful to bring me through it all. He never failed me!

According to biblestudy.org the number 25 in the Bible symbolizes ‘grace upon grace‘. [1] It has strong meaning of a holy presence. It is a symbol of God’s grace and forgiveness. John 1:16 ESV says, “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” Out of Christ abundance we have all received one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. Without God’s holy presence in my life pouring out grace on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that I have in Christ Jesus on this journey… 1 Timothy 1:14

Abraham waited 25 years in hope of the birth of the promised son (Isaac). This has been a 25 year journey of believing in the fulfillment of promises that were spoken long ago. The Bible says, “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

”Several years ago, the Lord impressed upon my spirit, “you are a part of My end-time army.” All believers are called to be soldiers in the Lord’s army. We may have different purpose and callings, but all should be engaged in the battle between good and evil, righteousness and sin, light and darkness, faith and unbelief, and in the end, God and Satan.”

“When I joined WIMN [2], almost a year ago, under the apostolic grace of Dr. Patricia King, a well-respected apostolic minister of the gospel, I receive a prophetic word of encouragement from Dr. Michelle Burkett that said, “Francine (Aleatha)—you are an imparter of truth and a warrior who brings many to freedom—I hear Isaiah 45:2-3 over you today.” “This is what the Lord says: “I will go before you, Cyrus, and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.” I never considered myself a warrior, yet this prophetic word changed my thinking. I didn’t set out to become a warrior, but I accept the assignment knowing the One who goes before me will pave the way, just as He has always done.”

It didn’t stop with me joining the network. “In 2017, I was ordained a minister through WIMN. I was given another prophetic word that also changed my life. It was prophesied that I had been given a “justice mantle.” This was “weighty” and foreign to me—a whole new reality. These prophetic words reveal to me the truth of my true identity. I am reminded of the call of Elisha the prophet when he received Elijah’s mantle. Elijah found him plowing in the field with twelve pairs of oxen. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. Elisha took his call seriously. He asked Elijah to let him kiss his father and mother goodbye to follow him. He counted the cost to obey the call. He didn’t attempt to put off the call or hesitate. Once I said yes and accepted this mantle, my perspective, aspirations, goals, and priorities shifted. Prophetic words carry weight because they come from the very heart of God. As I read this today in light of what God is doing I’m thankful and amazed at the awesomeness of our God. What God has been doing with me and in me behind closed doors is preparing me for His purposes. My response is to trust Him in the process, trust Him in refining, and trust Him in the fire! The stripping away, cutting away, and pruning is not to harm me, but for my good to bring me to a place of yieldedness to His Spirit..

Many prophetic words have gone out for the year 2020 and beyond. 2020 will be a time of transition through a major threshold. God is releasing the keys you need for your purpose. You will need to be in position to receive them.

1 Peter 2:9-10 resonates in my spirit daily as a Word from the Lord to His ‘holy ones’ in this new era. Change is coming to the church in this new decade and we need to know beyond a shadow of doubt who we are in Christ, and pursue with intent to fulfill His purposes on earth. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. ¹⁰Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Remember who you are and to Whom you belong. I encourage you to ask the Lord not only for His wisdom and discernment, but also to open your eyes to see what He is doing and what your part is in His end time redemptive plan.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. There’s no giving up, because I’m looking up!
